For his public outreach work, Prof. Jérôme Waldispühl was recognized by McGill for the Principal's Prize for Public Engagement Through Media. There were three awards in the "Emerging Researcher" category, one of which went to Prof. Waldispühl.
For the past decade, Prof. Waldispühl has been actively engaged in activities related to teaching science to the public, through games and puzzles, exhibits and museums, and many other activities. This past year was particularly exciting with collaborations with the video game industry on "Borderlands Science" which included a video by Mayim Bialik: https://www.mcgill.ca/newsroom/channels/news/new-video-game-enlists-players-help-advance-scientific-research-321495
