Description

We are seeking a passionate and curious AI Intern to join the AI team at Circle Medical. In this role, you will work at the intersection of Artificial Intelligence and Healthcare, helping us develop and evaluate cutting-edge models tailored for real-world clinical applications. As a member of our team, you’ll contribute to improving patient care through better data and smarter systems.

What You’ll Do

  • Fine-tune large language models and other machine learning models for specialized healthcare use cases.
  • Build and maintain evaluation pipelines and benchmarking frameworks.
  • Implement live monitoring tools and metrics to track model performance in production.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineers and clinicians to shape AI-driven healthcare tools.
  • Stay current with research and best practices in AI and healthcare technology.

Technologies & Tools You May Use

  • PostgreSQL or similar databases.
  • Python, PyTorch, Hugging Face Transformers.
  • GitHub, Docker, and cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS).
  • Braintrust, MLflow, Weights & Biases, or similar tools for experiment tracking.

You Might Be a Great Fit If You

  • Have a solid foundation in machine learning and/or NLP.
  • Are excited about real-world applications of AI in healthcare.
  • Have experience or interest in working with LLMs or other foundation models.
  • Are analytical, self-motivated, and eager to learn quickly.
  • Communicate well and work effectively in a team environment.

  • Proven track record with other startups or VC-funded companies.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to come into the office.

Internship Details:

  • Duration: 12 to 15 weeks.
  • Compensation: $22 CAD / hour.
  • Type: Temporary Internship, Hybrid (3-4 days in office).
  • Schedule: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5:00pm.
