Research Assistant | Montreal Computational & Quantitative Linguistics Lab | 2017 - Present
  • Developed data-preprocessing pipelines used to prepare corpora for forced phonetic alignment
  • Developed modifications to existing forced-alignment software to account for new input formats and new speaker accents, and refined eventual alignments of large corpora
  • Implemented an algorithm to automatically measure vowel formants of all vowels in a corpus, in the context of a corpus database system
  • Assisted in version control, unit testing, and benchmarking of new algorithms and features
  • Created and maintained extensive documentation for all pipeline procedures and new scripts
