  2. Hobbes. (3 points)
    Describe in a paragraph Hobbes's view of reasoning (ratiocination).

  3. Descartes. (2 points)
    According to Descartes, what are the tree fundamental operations of the mind? Which ones are capable of providing certain knowledge?

  4. Leibniz. (2 points)
    What is a monad? What role does it play in Leibniz's philosophy?

  5. Reflections. (3 points)
    Write up one question that you would like to ask Hobbes, one for Descartes, and one for Leibniz, and try to answer them in a short paragraph.
