Editing Sequences

Note: Before trying to edit a sequence, make sure that the protections allow modification. See the File --> Properties menu.

type in new sequence	click on insertion point in sequence pane and type
delete characters to the left of the cursor	Backspace
delete characters to the right of the cursor	Delete
Delete a block of sequence	Select a block of nucleotides in the sequence pane Edit --> Cut or right-click --> Cut
Copy a block of sequence	Select a block of nucleotides in the sequence pane Edit --> Copy or right-click --> Copy
Paste a block of sequence	Click on insertion point Edit --> Paste or right-click --> Paste
