What we are looking for:

Students with any environmental or sustainability-related research are encouraged to submit their projects for consideration. More importantly, we are looking for research-oriented presentations! For example, please show us your experimental design process, main research question, methods, and data. However; if you think your research deserves a chance to shine regardless of the requirements, please submit an application as well! This is our first year hosting the event and we would like to accommodate as many submissions as possible.

What you will be judged on:

The focus will be on the clarity of your presentation (both written and oral), the depth of your research, the originality of your research, and the impact of your research. The clarity, depth, originality, and impact will be evaluated equally.

Rough schedule:

In the morning, we will have guest speakers talk about their environmental research and what we, as a McGill community, could do to help. Then we have a lunch break where presenters can set up their posters, and attendees can mingle. Afterwards we will have the student presentations, which will be judged by a panel of professors and/or speakers. The winners will be awarded with the title of “SUS Environment Committee first annual Project Green Conference Best Undergraduate Research Project.”

More event details will be released in the end of January.

Once again, if you have any more questions, please email us at external.sus@mail.mcgill.ca.
