A solution exists, and it's called SOCS Inside-Out.  Specifically written
for (and by) McGill CS students, it features information about SOCS
facilities, a guide to surviving Unix, and plenty of tips and tricks that
will come in handy elsewhere.

The SOCS Inside-Out Website is a dynamic student initiative which aims to
reduce frustration and raise the level of computing competency at McGill.
