Lattice paths below a cyclically shifting boundary

We count the number of lattice paths under a cyclically shifting boundary of varying slopes. The techniques we use are combinatorial and are generalizations of classical reflection type arguments and the cycle lemma. We will also give some applications of our main results to other enumerative problems involving lattice walks.
