Aug. 15, 2016

The Clark Science Executive Leadership Fund (Clark SELF) will fund researchers (faculty, postdoctoral fellows, and senior PhD students) in the Faculty of Science to participate in the Executive Development Course (EDC), part of the Desautels Faculty of Management's highly regarded Mini MBA program. Taught by an esteemed group of academics and practitioners, this flagship course covers key topics from leading MBA and Executive MBA curricula in the evenings and weekends or condensed into eight high-impact days. These include such practical subjects as taking innovation from bench to market, transitioning to a leadership role, launching a startup, implementing negotiation strategies.

Supported entirely by donor funding, the SELF program serves as an unparalleled opportunity for McGill Faculty of Science researchers to develop managerial expertise to effectively lead labs and translate research into progress and policy. Through targeted professional development, researchers can enhance their ability to implement scientific projects and research, expand their professional opportunities, communicate their findings to key stakeholders, and realize their leadership potential.
