Profs. Siddiqi and Blanchette awarded FRQS dual chairs in AI&Health

Congratulations to Profs. Kaleem Siddiqi (SOCS) and Keith Murai (Neurology and Neurosurgery)! They just got awarded a Dual Chair in AI and Health from the Fonds Québécois de Recherche en Santé (FRQS), worth a total of 1.5M$. Their work focusses on "Cracking the nanoscopic structural code of the brain: Artificial intelligence and computer vision approaches for brain health," which promises to advance understanding of Alzheimer’s and other neurodegenerative diseases.

Congratulations also to Profs. Mathieu Blanchette (SOCS) and Eric Lécuyer (Institut de Recherches Cliniques de Montréal). They were also awarded a Dual Chair in AI&Health, which will focus on the development of AI approaches to elucidate RNA regulatory codes and their therapeutic potential.
